In the article "Klangfarbenmelodie as a Special Case of Sound-Based Composition" from his book The Future of Modern Music, composer and music-historian James McHard describes Four Pieces for Orchestra (1959) by Giacinto Scelsi (1905-1988) as:
"strange music in which serpents from another world seem hurled through unimagined dimensional barriers."
That's good enough for me: sold and sold! Well... at least added to my Wish List.
